New Himachal chief justice to be sworn-in Feb 8
By ians • Feb 3rd, 2010 • Category: Nation IndiaShimla, Feb 3, The new chief justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court will assume charge next week, an official said here Wednesday.
“Kerala High Court acting Chief Justice Kurian Joseph will take oath as chief justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court Feb 8,” a High Court official told IANS.
The previous chief justice of the High Court, Justice Jagdish Bhalla has been appointed chief justice of the Rajasthan High Court.
Justice Bhalla was appointed chief justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court in February 2008 but was transferred to Rajasthan Aug 3, 2009.
Presently, Justice R.B. Misra is the acting chief justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
Chief Justice-designate Joseph is the executive chairman of the Kerala State Legal Services Authority.
